Due to the drop in the drought index, the Burn Ban has been lifted by the County Judge.
 

            Chambers County Emergency Management issued a burn ban today.  Effective immediately until further notice.
 

            NWS HGX has issued a New Fire Weather Watch for Chambers County until 04:00 PM Thursday FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGHTHURSDAY AFTERNOON --
 

            Beach City VFD hosts our annual 2nd annual Kids Safe Night.  There was a large turnout from the community and the kids all had a great time.  We would like to thank everyone in the community that made this great event a success and would like invite everyone out to it next year.
 

            Beach City VFD took delivery of our new thermal imager.  We purchased a Bullard T4 camera.  This camera was made possible only with the support of the citizens of Beach city and our city council.  We would like to thank everyone who donated to this cause that helps us help you.  Thank You Beach City!
 

            Beach City sends our entire fleet into the community for National Night Out.  Thank you to the subdivisions of Northpoint, Bayplace, and Ocean Mobile Home Park for inviting our personnel to attend your community events.
 

            Severe storms possible across southeast Texas this afternoon/early evening. Scattered thunderstorms expected with the threat of supercells with tornadoes, large hail, and damaging winds.  The greatest threat will be north of a line from Caldwell to Conroe to Liberty.  A second round of thunderstorms is expected overnight tonight after midnight as a line of storms forms along the cold front and crosses the area.  Severe weather once again possible with this second round.

            The National Weather Service said they expect the brunt of the weather to hit northwest of the HGAC region.  For Chambers County, they said tonight we can expect temperatures as low as 33 degrees F and some light rain.
